Basic structure of oil level gauge
The Pointer Oil Level Gauge (hereinafter referred to as the oil level gauge) is applicable to the oil level display of Oil Immersed Transformer oil conservator and on load tap changer oil conservator as well as the alarm of the lowest and highest limit oil level.
The oil level gauge is mainly composed of the display part composed of pointer and dial, the alarm part composed of magnet (or cam) and switch, and the transmission part composed of reversing and variable speed gear set, swing rod and float ball
Operating principle of oil level gauge
When the oil level of the transformer oil conservator rises or falls, the float ball of the oil level gauge or the diaphragm of the oil conservator will float up and down, making the swing rod swing up and down, thus driving the transmission part to rotate. The magnet (or cam) of the alarm part and the pointer of the display part will rotate through the coupling magnetic steel, and the pointer will point to the corresponding position. When the oil level rises to the highest level or drops to the lowest level, The magnet is pulled in (or the cam is pulled out) and the corresponding reed switch (or microswitch) sends out an alarm signal.
Installation of oil level juice
The oil level gauge with floating ball type swing rod swinging radially shall be installed at the center of the end cover of the oil conservator. Other oil level gauges with floating ball type swing rod swinging axially shall be installed at the lowest oil level of the oil conservator. The telescopic rod type oil level gauge for diaphragm oil conservator shall be installed at the highest oil level of the oil conservator. During the installation of the oil level gauge, it must be ensured that the movable space of the swing rod and the floating ball is not interfered by any structure.
Inspection before installation of oil level gauge
Before installation, check whether the oil level gauge is damaged and rusted during storage and transportation, and install it after treatment.
Before the installation of the oil level gauge, gently and slowly pull the swing rod to rotate flexibly, and reliably send a signal at the extreme position.
Before installing the oil level gauge, check whether the lead cable, outlet terminal and signal switch are well insulated.
Maintenance of oil level gauge
The oil level gauge shall be checked once a year during operation. Check whether the lead wire and switch are well insulated and whether the sealing gasket needs to be replaced.
