Buchholz Relay is a component that uses the hot oil flow and hot air flow generated during faults in a transformer to drive the relay to operate. Therefore, it is a protective element of the transformer, which is installed in the pipeline between the transformer oil conservator and the oil tank, and is divided into light gas protection and heavy gas protection. A Gas Relay is installed on the transformer, and its main function is to protect the internal faults of the transformer. When there is slight (small) gas production inside the transformer, it can alarm. When there is a large fault inside the transformer (such as inter turn short circuit, insulation breakdown, etc.) that generates strong oil flow, the transformer can be quickly disconnected through the control circuit.
