Brief introduction of Electrostatic Precipitator Transformer
The working principle of electrostatic precipitator is to use high voltage electric field to ionize the flue gas, and the dust charge in the airflow is separated from the airflow under the action of electric field. The negative electrode is made of metal wires with different section shapes, called discharge electrode.
The positive pole is made of metal plates with different geometric shapes, called dust collecting electrode. The performance of electrostatic precipitator is affected by three factors, such as dust property, equipment structure and flue gas velocity. The specific resistance of dust is an index to evaluate the conductivity, which has a direct impact on the dust removal efficiency. The specific resistance is too low, and it is difficult for the dust particles to remain on the dust collecting electrode, causing it to return to the air flow. If the specific resistance is too high, the charge of dust particles reaching the dust collecting electrode is not easy to discharge, and the formation of voltage gradient between dust layers will cause partial breakdown and discharge. All of these conditions will cause the decrease of dust removal efficiency.
The power supply of electrostatic precipitator is composed of control box, step-up transformer and rectifier. The voltage output from the power supply also has a great impact on the dust removal efficiency. Therefore, the operating voltage of electrostatic precipitator shall be kept above 40-75kV or even 100kV.
Electrostatic precipitator consists of two parts: one is the body system of electrostatic precipitator; The other part is to provide high-voltage DC power supply device and low-voltage automatic control system. The structure and principle of the electrostatic precipitator, the high-voltage power supply system supplies power to the step-up transformer, and the dust collecting electrode of the precipitator is grounded. The low-voltage control system is used to control the temperature of electromagnetic rapping hammer, ash discharge electrode, ash conveying electrode and several components.
